All Four Wright Brothers Qualify for the 2026 NFR

All four sons of former world champion Cody Wright are headed to the same NFR for the first time. Rusty, Ryder, Stetson and Statler Wright will all compete at the Thomas & Mack Center this December, as Roundtable Sports reported after the Sioux Falls Governor's Cup.

Each brother had been to the NFR before, but never all in the same year. Ryder, Stetson and Statler have shared the stage for the last three years, while Rusty, the oldest, had been missing from the group.

Rusty goes in on top

Rusty Wright is the one brother without a gold buckle, despite five NFR qualifications. He has spent much of 2026 at the top of the saddle bronc riding standings, and he has spoken openly about sobriety, faith and family as part of his season. Back number 8 gives fans an easy way to find him.

Statler's last-minute ride

Statler, the youngest brother and the reigning world champion, nearly missed out altogether. He was outside the top 15 late in the season. Then he won the Governor's Cup with a 90.75-point ride on Smith Pro Rodeo's Ozark, a $34,000 payday that lifted him into the field for a third straight NFR and a chance to defend his title.

Ryder and Stetson

Ryder Wright is a three-time world champion hoping to add a fourth. Stetson, nicknamed "Superman", is a 10-time world champion, and he's also chasing a triple crown across saddle bronc riding, bull riding and the all-around.

Earlier in the season, Rusty, Stetson and Ryder became the first three brothers to hold the top three places in the event at the same time.
